Is it common for someone to be very beautiful on the outside yet ugly inside?

I went out with this girl who's so hot, always dresses so well, very gorgeous, perfect skin, perfect little body. Just a pleasure to look at..yet once I got to know her I found she is so manipulative, arrogant, has no morals, extremely conceited and everything is always all about her and her benefit. How can she be so beautiful yet have such an ugly personality? Her father is super rich and always gave her everything, is that what caused it?
